For women whose bodies are bags of grief
And when he promised to be your shelter
You forgot that a basin is no home for the
Depth of an ocean.
And when you find a woman
Whose body is a bag of grief
Sit her down and show her
how you carry your scars
Like beautiful birthmarks
And then tell her
How the sun walks out
Of the day without apology.
Tell her how love heals itself.
And in her core, she is love
Breathing healing.
