Continuation
The earth was always
made to spit us back out
send us to dust
where we came from
the waves we once surfed
to engulf us
the fires we held in hand
to burn us
in short destructive manner
we found time to
fall in love look
to the future
hold on tight to worries
that never mattered
objects that will too
turn to ash
along with us
erased
new
canvas.
