I would like to supply a soundtrack to Bipolar Cowboy. Music means a lot to me, the first artform I was introduced to as a child was music. I would sit in my room for hours listening to Led Zeppelin and Metallica. I feeyl music all through my body, when I hear music I really love it feels as if I am being wrapped and swaddled by a loving mother. When I am alone I listen to music loudly and dance. I dance alone. I head bang alone. When I get very drunk off Vodka and Red Bull I will dance in front of people. People have seen me dance, it is not amazing. I prefer to date women who are amazing dancers.
These are all sad songs from a dark period in my life, when I would sit on my porch and drink Red Hook IPAs from a can and cry listening to music till I felt drunk enough to immediately pass out.
I cry a lot, it isn’t normal for a man to cry. The other day I picked up a book of Edgar Allan Poe and read
And just started crying. Standing there alone in my living room crying to Poe like a little baby.
When people yell at me I cry too.
I cry and dance, my mind I think is synced with my body, there is no disconnection, all mental reactions are physical reactions for me.
Which is why I like music, it demands a physical reaction.
Here the songs in order they appear in the book and at the bottom will be a few notes on obscure references.
